At Mayo Clinic, Google's Med-PaLM 2 is learning to navigate the complex field of healthcare. Aimed to help in regions where doctors are scarce, it shows promise in reasoning and understanding but stumbles on accuracy at times. Fear not, patient privacy is a priority with strong encryption measures in place. Still in early stages, this AI tool hints at a fascinating future in healthcare. Curious? Generative AI is disrupting digital advertising, transforming tasks from hour-long processes to quick 15-minute projects. Despite concerns about brand safety and content quality, industry giants like Meta, Alphabet, and Amazon are betting big on its potential. However, while AI can kickstart creative processes, businesses are reminded that it's not a replacement for a unique brand messaging strategy.

President Biden has convened with top AI experts to address the looming dangers and challenges posed by AI, particularly the pervasive issue of bias. Despite the massive investment and growing reliance on AI by major companies like Accenture, Microsoft, and Nvidia, the problem of bias, a byproduct of human-led model construction and training, remains a significant concern. The article provides suggestions on how to mitigate this issue, emphasizing the choice of training methods, striking a balance between industry literature and real-world data, and incorporating transparency into AI models.

Reddit has updated its content policy to permit AI-generated adult content that portrays fictional characters, reversing a previous stance on the issue. This move follows Reddit's ban in 2018 on deep fake AI adult communities that produced "involuntary pornography". The policy update stipulates that the new rule doesn't apply to media distributed with the consent of those depicted, and AI-generated sexual media portraying fictional characters or artistic depictions. However, the platform continues to enforce other rules including the prohibition of explicit content featuring minors and the requirement for appropriate labeling of sexually explicit or offensive content.

The article presents a comprehensive list of AI tools for image and video generation, including DALL-E, starryai, Synthesia, Lumen5, Flexclip, Elai, and more. I share some insights based on personal usage, emphasizing the need for businesses to select tools that best fit your specific needs.

Microsoft and LinkedIn have rolled out a free AI Skills Initiative certificate program offering comprehensive generative AI training. The course consists of five modules, including videos and quizzes, with a focus on Microsoft's Bing Chat built on OpenAI's GPT-4. Given that 75% of companies plan to adopt AI within five years, these skills are becoming a top training priority. The program also emphasizes the importance of ethical guidelines for responsible AI use.
